i really need some help guys... i flashed my v3 with the latest firmware/flash and all was well.. did all the seems correctly.. phone is workin fine.... its just when i plug in my charger the external display doesnt go offf

everything else works just fine... but for some odd reason ONLY when the charger is plugged in this happens... how do i fix this..

Well I have noticed this on all my phones. Normally when you shut the phone the external goes black after a minute or so but when its plugged in the external display stays on all the time.

Its done this on all my flipphones (LG VX6000 and VX7000, Moto V265, V3c, V3i, etc)

so basically I have noticed this is standard, I guess the manufactures thinks most people like the external display for telling time and related things without opening the phone so they figure since the phone isnt using any battery power they should enable this whenever the phone is in for convience purposes....

I dont know I think its kinda dumb but its pretty much standard. Its been like that on both my RAZR's V3c and V3i....

uhm there is a seem edit that u can use, I think it was in p2ktools, where there is an option that u can check on or off for outside lcd display. sorry i cannot tell u the exact seems and bits, since i didnt use it. Try searching, u will find it fo shure

a specific model number charger will cause this, it does it on my V3 RAZR, as well my old V600 used to do it, my v551, even my V60i did this only with certain chargers.
