Unlocked and Unbranded Razr--using Cingular MEdia Net?

I bought an unlocked and unbranded Magenta Razr from eBay--and I *love* this phone. Everything is cool with it except when I try to launch the browser, it looks for a website in the UK.

How do I configure it to work with MEdia Net?

This gets into an area I dont know much about.

It communicates perfectly with my Macintosh via BT, so if there is some software I need to put on it, I shouldnt have any trouble.

Had the same problem with my V3i, just follow the instructions provided here:

just copy and paste that and then on the list of phones find the V3 and you can find the settings for MEdia Net and MMS which I believe you will also need to configure.

Ah, well thank you both!

I had seen the part about Media Net but since I dont have media net on my phone at all, I wasnt sure where to start with this.

Yea same here, No media net.

You have to find WebAccess then you should be able to follow these steps. On my phone its under Extras and in some RAZRS its somewhere in the settings.

Its just you wont have a dedicated MEdia Net key or icon but rather when you launch the built in internet browser the home page will be MEdia Net.

THen you should be able to follow all the steps. Please let me know if you have any more questions

After setting the Cingular Web Session as "Default" you will be able to press the "Web" key(one with the globe) on the phone and it will launch the Media Net homepage.

You can also get the setting sent to you OTA if you log in to your account at cingular.com. There is a feature on there somewhere, I think it's under "Phones and Devices" or something and you can download the settings automatically.
