SO I've had my V3i not even a full week yet. Last night the little sister spilled her water all over it. I powered it down and dried it up the fastest I could but I think it's shot. It's completely dry now and the only source of life it seems to have is the M icon on the front display and the bluetooth light perm stay on. It wont poer on manually anymore, just those 2 lights. Has this happened to anyone else? Suggestions on anything I could possibly do? Minus the water incident, the phone is still in perfect condition.

Bad news....the Razrs don't dry out. I have gone through 2 so far because of employees getting them wet. I have also tried drying them out as well and get the bluetooth light on as well.

umm, my bf razor fell in the toilet and his friend dried it out with a blow dryer about 6 months ago. Every once in a while it will auto powercycle itself but other than that its been working fine.

Let it dry for few day longer and leve it with the battery out and battery door open then try again. Or take the phone a part and use blow dryer on cool setting (so it just blows cold air) to dry out all the components inside completely.

OUCH, so sorry to hear, it would make me upset at the very least.

wow that STINKS. little sister's stink! haha jk. i suggest checking if the white dot in the back is still white or red. if white, ur in luck. let it dry some more. ask ur sister to borrow her hair dryer (its the least she can do) and use the cool setting to blow out excess water.

powering it on and trying to charge it are good ways to short circuit it. take it apart, dry AFAYC, and pray to the Moto gods.

The white dot thing behind the battery has a stain of red to it. Thanks for the replies guys. I suppose I'll leave the battery out and let it dry completely and just cross my fingers. Any suggestions on how to completely take it apart to blow dry the rest of the pieces?

Yes.

.......Very, Very carefully.

PM me with your e-mail and I will send you the guide to taking the phone apart.

Ok, that white dot is now definately a grey dot, shot phone?

It all depends. Leaving it to dry may help and it may not. Each case is different. The crappy thing about Motorolas in general is that the shields are soldered onto the board, so you can't just take the shield off and dry it off or brush off the circuitry.
