I did a search and found out this is a known problem with this phone.

This is my 2nd Mpx, my first one messed up when it would be stuck on "headset" mode. Cingular replaced it.

I am wondering if there is any way to backup my text messages?

Sucks, its my birthday week!!!!

oh and if anyone has found a way to fix this without sending it to cingular please let me know!

Jeyo Mobile Companion for SMS messages backup. Saves them in text file on your pc.

Had charging problems, had it repaired, still works perfectly
