anyone know if there is a seem that allows you change or manipulate the volume on the moto audio player that comes standard with all moto phones?? I'm not talking about iTunes or Winamp Lite imported into the phone. It's the default audio player in the multimedia section. My L6 blasts both the mp3 and midi ringtones and has no way of changing the sound. On my v330, I could change the sound.

SEEMs control the operation of the phone's software, not of optional midlets. I can't imagine Opera or Google Local or all the various java games storing their settings in SEEMs...

Did you try maybe changing the app volume under "Java Settings"? Refer to xlr8's SEEM map if you don't have that menu item...

DAP 5.0.6 and 5.0.17 both have a volume control on my V635.

the default audio player is in sounds, not java apps/games. Is there a seem edit with the gain_table to control the audio player in sounds??

Ah, I thought you meant DAP, which IS a Motorola audio player. Just missed the "multimedia section" part

When I go into the audio player, if I mess with the upper right side key, I can change the volume of whats being played back. Worked on my V400, V551, V557 and V635, so I don't see why this wouldn't work for you.

However, this also adjusts the "base" level of other audio, like ringtones, video...

And of course, adjusting the gain table can bump things up as well - xlr8 has it well documented in his SEEM map.

actually the volume buttons are on the 5 way keypad on the L6, so trying to change the volume up and down actually activates the reverse and forward function of the audio player. On my v330, I could adjust the volume because the volume buttons were on the left side above the Smart Key

Ya know, I just took a peek at the L6 manual - other than being even LESS informative than previous manuals, I noticed that the key we're used to is labelled the PTT key. I wonder if it's just mapped wrong?

I don't think so, if you have cingular, then the ptt key would be functional, but since I have tmobile, it lets you map that key. The camera key on the right is only configurable for the camera.
