Ok, so here's what's going on. I just bought a Motorola A630 off of eBay because I totally wanted it. Problem is it's an unlocked T-Mobile phone and I'm on Cingular. The phone itself is absolutely great, I love it! But I can't receive any pictures (MMS messages) or connect to the internet etc. I called Cingular and the lady told me that even if they could, they're not allowed to do anything to help me!

Please? Could someone help me out? I want to get rid of that t-zones thingy. I have P2KMan, VXI32, PST, and MPT. Anyone I can fix my phone?

And as someone who has all those programs I unfornately don't know anything about them. I can follow directions, that's about it. I have no idea what flexing and flashing is, nor do I know what firmware is, yea, I'm that stupid. I managed to change the outer LCD to show something besides T-mobile, but that's it. I want to be able to use this phone to it's full capabilities and would really really appreciate any help. Thank you!!!

Thank you so much for the assistance with my issue. I actually did end up doing a search before I posted my thread and saw the one that you referred to and tried the different links. For the first link it asked for a username and password, which I don't have. And through the Cingular tutorials, it proved very very helpful with one exception...not all the options are available on my phone.

Oh and get this! I just realized that I don't even have the little GPRS symbol on my phone! OMG! What in the world is going on? Help!!! I really really don't wanna give up on this phone!

actually the best thing that solved my problem was using a monster pack to flash to the Cingular version of the a630. works GREAT!

That's BS call ask for tech and demand someone help you...a Moto is a Moto is a Moto. I help people all day long with unbranded phones only problem is if your websessions access is locked which then I recommend the Monster Pack.

Wonderful wonderful people, thank you sooooo much for your replies. I know this is corny and all but this forum is GREAT! It's really cool to know that even though the world is gettin pretty f***ed up there's still somewhere that a person can go and be treated with some courtesy (high school shootings? whoa...scary). I am totally gonna try everything that everyone suggested and if all else fails I guess it does make a pretty cool "toy". Wow...cost more than my daughter's PowerWheel, hahaha.
