E815 Messed up flash/flex/seem edit

Hi I tried editting my seem for the internal display banner and changed some things around, but I think I went one or two spaces off while I was editting the actual code... I think it totally messed up my phone because it turns on, then freezes after it displays the main screen. Any help? Thanks a lot in advance. And if you guys say that I need to flash or flex it, would you be able to supply the flex for me? I can't find it anywhere, but found the flash.

I would like to, but the phone restarts everytime I even turn it on to plug it into the USB cable. Thanks for an actual response

Do you have a data cable with a charging port on the side? If so, plug the phone charger into the cable and it will begin charging, allowing you to run the proper programs to reload the seem.

Even when the phone restarts whenever the phone is started at all? I do NOT have the charging data cable...

Correct, while the phone is charging it will stop the endless restart cycle and let you load a working seem. What cable do you have? SKN6311b and I believe C have the charging port.

I guess I have to get one of those cables... thank you very much for your help. Especially "while the phone is charging it will stop the endless restart cycle and let you load a working seem". I think that clarified it a lot. So my phone can still be easily fixed if I load the new SEEM onto it?

It should be. Did you back up your original seem before editing? If not...

Load Humpa's edited 2742 seem. Of course make sure you know exactly how to reload a seem, proper record length, bytes, etc.

Yea, I know about backup seems, so I didn't bother to back them up. Oh and do you know if this will work?

You want the Motorola OEM SKN6311b. I got one on eBay but the charging port is faulty, just as a heads up.

I hosed my E815 and it did the same cycle, show splash screen then restart. I bought the cable in question (with the charge port) and when plugged in it would do the same thing. It would not stay powered long enought to establish a connection to my PC. I ended up using a small (very small) copper wire to jump pins 13 and 14 together. I did this by wrapping the wire around pins 13 and 14 on the phone connector of the USB cable, shorting the two pins on insertion. This forced the phone in to bootloader mode and I was instantly able to link to the PC and flash the phone to restore it. But I messed my phone up with an incomplete theme transfer, so the cable with the charge port may work for you, but you can try this trick if you don't want to wait for the cable. Just be careful to only short pins 13 and 14 together.

edit: if you want, I can e-mail you my seem edit for the external display to make it say "Pimpin' The E815"

lol thanks but no thanks. About the bootloader mode... don't you just need to press *, #, and power? Cuz that's what I've been doing.. but I still think I need the charging data cable.

My phone was so far gone that the only thing it responded to was shorting the two pins.

I got the SNK6311B. It charges the phone and everything but I'm able to go in to USB init mode with this charging cable and without.After I flash it, the phone still goes all crazy on me...

Holding down the * # and POWER buttons while the power/moto screen was cycling got me into bootstrap mode and allowed my computer to connect to the phone... Reflashing the phone fixed my problem (crashed while installing a skin)... Thanks for the tips....

My e815 got wet. I took it apart cleaned/dried everything. Does this continous power on off cycle. It will go into bootloader mode and link with the computer. I have reflashed it several times this morning and it still does the same thing. If you take the charging cable off it will not do anything. Anybody have any ideas. I understand that water and electronics dont mix but I tried the reflash because I had nothing to lose. I purchased a v8600 but like my old e815 better.
