Bluetooth internet on Treo

I've just read somewhere that it's possible to surf the internet on a Treo 650 using bluetooth.
How can I do that?

search here as well as at Treonauts and Treocentral, etc. There are a few ways to set it up - as well as using Softick's PPP software. However, I tried 3 different methods, including Softick's PPP software and could never get it to connect. I wasted way too much time on it and just decided to use my data plan! Good luck!

as long as u have a bluetooth adapter set up with Microsofts drivers, and softick ppp, its fairly simple, well, it was for me. granted, it took me hours to figure out what i was doing wrong, but i just had one box unchecked, and then with a click of the mouse, tap of the stylus, i'm roaming the internet fee free.

So how exactly can I do it?

just remeber one thing it says there tht you have to change the router default gateway actually you dnt need to do tht. Wht you do instead is find out wht your default gateway is and manually change your bluetooth connection ip address.
1. On the command prompt find wht your ip address for you computer is and also the default gateway....do this by typing ipconfig it should be something like 192.168.X.A and the default gateway like 192.168.X.0
2. Go to control panel>networkconnections>(ull see your bluetooth connection here if u enabled it on the bluetooth adapter from the link...right click on it)>properties> TCP/IP
now here click on the tab use the following
IP Address: 192.168.Y.D
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.X.0
where Y: any number other than X use 3..4 something like that
D: any number between 1-99
use the following DNS server address:
192.168.X.0
now click the advanced tab
add the same ip address and the default gateway address tht u input here.
now when u go to input the IP address in the TREO input something like this
192.168.Y.D
where remember the Y is the same as before but the D should be something other than the D before..remember this this is very important
Primary DNS is the same as before
Thios should give u a working Reverse BT DUN connection.

If you know a thing or two about computers and how they work, and not afraid to try different things, try the following link. It's fairly simple, but different users have blown it out of proportion. This method doesn't require you to buy anything at all. It's completely free.
If you don't want to go that route, or willing to pay for a program, go the Softick's PPP software route.
Good luck.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98; PalmSource/hspr-H102; Blazer/4.2) 16;320x320)
I have an Anycom Bluetooth Access Point and am using Bluetooth to the internet as I type this! It works well, about 270kbps, so email is quick and web isn't bad. Only catch is that Blazer forces you to have the phone on whether you need it or not.

also - if you have Sprint - you need to change the proxy server in Blazer. I fiddled with this for hours and 3 different configurations before I read that somewhere. Also, this is a pretty clean and simple set-up:
