Got my new Sharp 903SH, questions

Got my 903SH yesterday, COOL, way COOL phone! I have a few questions:

1. The guy who sold me the phone said "not to master reset the phone". He said if I do that, the phone will no longer be unlocked? How does that work?

2. I copied my phone numbers from SIM to the phonebook. Is there any way to sort my contacts by alphabetically?

3. Regarding firmware, after reading much about all the posts, I've realized I want either the Chinese or Taiwanese firmware, mainly for the langauge capabilities. Now, which one is better?

4. I am planning to get this phone flashed from gsmliberty, I assume that's a pretty good place?

Thanks for your help!

good god.. the guy sold you a beta unlocked phone. thats why you can't do a master reset.. your phone is in japanese firmware.

up to you for chinese/taiwanese firmware. both are the same except for language writing. tw style or hk style.

and good luck flashing your phone. if it becomes a brick. i take no responsibility

tim i sometimes experience auto reboot problem just after the sms is send out or when i get new sms from my friend.depend on luck.if i am lucky,i wont exp this problem.is this common problems with 903sh?i am using euro firmware.

hrm... i think your firmware is a bit glitchy. save your contacts. save your sms and pictures and audio/video files. do a master reset. test the sms. see if it still happens. if it does.. save everything aagian. perform a hard reset (power + #) then... test again. if it still does it. you need to get it reflashed.. and if it still does ita fter the reflash. then you have a hardware problem.

will the problem be solve or more stable using jap firmware? or it does not matter?my phone is jap version as there are jap words on the phone itself.the guy who flash my 903 say he cant directly flash euro into it.he must flash jap in before he is able to flash euro.

Posted by: Timsta

no. it doesn't matter. euro is very stable. odd... i don't know why hye has to do that. he probably has some wierd tool then i guess

if it is firmware problem,i can still able to fix it by re-flash but in my country, there are no sharp repair shop or repairman for hardware problem...

tim what u mean by "beta unlocked phone. thats why you can't do a master reset.. your phone is in japanese firmware"??
