So one of Tmobile's call centers (i cant name which) received the Sidekick 3 this past week. I must say the pictures do not do it justice. It is a great looking phone. Alot sleeker and a little less bulkier. I trust that all sidekick 3 fans will be very very impressed!

lol....sorry guys....to be honest...if you were to call tmobile right now..effective today they have a new script to give to people inquiring on the sk3. Tmobile will say that they have no info on an upcoming sk3. This is due to a high call volume, thus making it difficult for people with real issues to get to an agent. So, what happened is this...before a product is actually release, a sample of it goes out to some of the call centers. The first pic that leaked was from a rep at one of the centers. (you see the computer on the side of the pic along with a head set..that gave it away to me because its the same as what we use). Either way, it finally got to our center and was able to view it. Unfortunately, cost is not something that was shared, not with the supervisors anyway though im sure people in higher level are aware. But that is all I have and promise to keep eveyone posted on more details as I receive them.

...Now with that script given to customers, that only confirms it only a matter of time before its out. That is the only reason that script is being given, because T-Mobile does not have authority to give out information on a product that hasnt officially been introduced to the public yet. (insider information) But something had to be done regarding the call volume so this was their approach. I am trying to verify if it incudes video or not being that is one of the questions most people have. I am pending a response and will keep you posted.

Thanks for sharing.

Can you elaborate a bit more on the size of the device? There have been comments that it is 2/3rds the size of the SKII.

Please use devices as benchmarks - ex: treo 650, BB 8700g, SKII, MDA, etc.

size wise, its both smaller and thinner....not drastically different, but you will see the improvment.

i think your misenturpreting what she was saying. she wasnt describing the pic as if it had just came about or that she had just seen it for the 1st time, she was stating where the leaked pic had originated, from a rep a one of the call centers. it basically supported her statement about how she actually saw the phone 1st hand as her particular call center was one of the fortunate ones to recieve a SK3 for viewing. shes only trying to help the curious, not strike up old news......

Yeah, the SK3 looks nice. The problem I have with the SK2 is that people think it's a GameBoy or some type of other portable videogame. So they ask me what game I'm playing even though I'm typing on AIM or browsing the net.

I'm an adult so I don't want people to think I'm still messing around with Game Boys

But the SK3 looks slick, so hopefully it won't be mistaken as just a game machine.

Yeah .. i dont think that the SK3 will be mistaken though .. i mean there is gonna be so much hype about it that no one will get confused
