Am i charged minutes for staying online with agile messenger?

no you are just charged for sending/recieving data. hopefully you have medianet unlimited, so you won't have to worry about it.

yeah, i have medianet unlimited. What would happen if i didn't have it though?

Then you would be charged by the kilobyte for data transfers. I don't remember the rate, but it could get potentially high.

wait so agile messanger/msn/aim/yahoo/irc counts as data and not as a text message?

i never figured out how to switch between messenging services when i sign onto two on agile... anyone care to share?

so if i didn't have medianet unlimited i woudl get charged for each text message received/sent correct? But i woudln't get charged towards my minutes for being online however though if i don't send/receive any message correct? also does anyknow how know to switch accounts on agile messenger, i can't log onto multiple aim sn's since i saved my pw for one of my aim account

depending on the device and client/program you use you will get charged either data or text. example: you are using a pda device and downloaded a third party (agile messenger) this particular software uses the data(gprs, edge, umts, hsdpa) of the network, you will be charged a data rate in which you have unlimited data connect will not have to worry about excess charges. However if you use a built in IM client on the phone you will be charged a text/IM rate (many of the voice handsets have these clients built in or are able to be downloaded from the medianet home page from the phone. Not to confuse anyone.... If you log into the cingular medianet and go to mail and messaging you can log into IM and stay on the medianet wap and get charged medianet, the only downfall is that you have to retrieve your messages manually and it does not automatically refresh..... I hope this helps
