I'm new to the forum and was directed here by the guys at the maccellphone yahoo group. I have a RAZR V3c with Verizon and have been talking with Dave Taylor at "Ask Dave Taylor.com". I got a hack from him to allow for file transfering via blue tooth for my phone but evidently it was posted in january and there have been a lot of changes since. His hack is supposed to work for firmware version 02 but the obex was removed and never reinstalled for my 04 (I just got my phone a month ago). So, some questions:

[1] How do you flash the firmware for a phone? (Does the installer do it for you? and "Yes" I have a USB cable).

[2] Can the flashing be done on an iMac (all I own are Macs so if it has to be done on a PC, please let me know)?

[3] What do I lose/gain/have to be cautious of when flashing the memory to change the firmware?

[4] Will Verizon give me a bad time and how if they do?

Remember, I'm a newbie but am willing to learn and experiment to get the job done.

Do you want to downgrade to .02, or do you hate the verizon UI and want to flash to alltel? Also a few other suggestions, head over to the verizon forum and browse there, and read the wiki.
