does anyone know how to transfer files (ringtone, pics, etc) from a pc to the blackberry? my friend just got the 7100t and he has the usb cable, but he's unsure how to transfer ringtone, etc to his phone. what kind of software does he need in order to use his usb cable? please give me details as blacberry is new to me/my friend. thanks!

You can't do it through a cable. Ringtones need to be navigated to in the browser and saved, and pics need to be emailed to the BB as attachments.

so that mean he would need to like wap them from the internet thru his bb? can he create a free site and upload the ringtones there and then wap them?

i tried sending pics to his bb with my n7610 as mms, but he wasn't able to retrieve the pics on his bb. the message said he needs to go to tmobilepictures.com or something to retrieve it. it would work if he emails the pics to his bb from any email service or certain ones? i know some email service doesn't work, when i tried emailing them to my phones or my parents..

You need to actually email it to him not send a pic message and it will work as long as its an attachment file. Also yes you can just create a website and upload them, go to www.blackberryforums.com they need to be a certain formats to be used on the BB. also you can go to wap.bbota.com for some (I think that is the site URL).

ive tried emailing his bb with my yahoo acct with an attached image. he got my message, but i didnt see any option of viewing/saving the image. how can it be done?

he just added a bb plan to his acct with tmo, but im unsure what type of plan it is. he had setup his acct, but i havent had the chance to test emailing him again.
