can someone provide me with a V525 full back up, i accidentally downgraded the bootloader to 07.D0 and THEN i made a back up

(useless i know)
now all that comes up is:
SW Version: Not found, ive tried flashing MP's to it but still the same comes up
PLEASE HELP

You can still use FB even if the loader isnt 07d0.

Under the loaders option, goto select another

then select the 08A0 one, it should work.

ok i tried the mp as a restore and it came up with 'Code Corrupt', Ill try and rstore the backup

ok well i restored the useless backup with the '08A0' bootloader 'code corrupt' has gone but thats it, what now, shall i wait untill some kind soul (

) gives me a back up of theirs?

What the heck are you trying to accomplish?

if you can backup...then why do you need somebody elses backup?

its got BL version 07.D0 on and shows 'SW version not found' i need a backup so i can make the phone back to normal again, the only backup i have is the one that i made after i downgraded the bootloader, do u understand now?

Then why dont you try upgrading the bootloader and seeing if that helps.

or maybe even reflash to phone with another MP.

i would try if i had the files (bootloader) ive looked around at MM and here and a few others, ill see if i can use different MP's, about time u understood, u always reply without understanding correctly, and then u think im not explaining properly

Well, I apologize for that.

But a good site that had a ton of bootloaders that can be used on the 635 is gocellular

you do have to sign up to goto the downloads area..but its worth it.

ok, i chose to flash 07.80, once it was done the phone wouldnt even start up, so i forced it into bootloader mode, and it actually worked

, the bootloader screen didnt come on though just a WSOD, so im restoring my useless back-up, just showed it isnt that useless after all, ill just wait untill some1 gives me a full backup, or gives me directions to a compatible V525 BOOTLOADER

ive tried flashing an MP many times but the same message appears over and over again, flashed it to that bootloader and that messed it up but luckily i got it working again! now ill just wait 4 sum1 to give me a full backup, thats if any1 will

Another thing you can try is just flashing a reflash, not a whole MP.

for some reason reflashes do something different than a MP does, usually will revive a phone where a MP wont.

and if that doesnt work try as many different reflash files as you have.

i tried doing a reflash after a MP didnt work, but what the heck, might as well

EDIT: ive tried all the reflashes from 4FR to 75R still nothing
Oh Yeah i downloaded RSD Lite 1.9.1 and now it works dont know y 1.6 didnt work

Thats good you got it working, RSD is an essential tool for flashing that I personaly couldnt do without.

But yeah, looks like your at the mercy of other people, because restoring a backup seems to be the only way to get the phone back. But at least you tried every other way.

if i was you try a bunch of different search methods in the search, and see what you can find.

ive tried searching through the forums, but no luck, i got through like 100 in the monstrous motorola modding thread, like 240 there!
sum1 said they would give me there back up, am waiting. i asked 2 people, 1 sold it and the other im waiting for, so hopefully it gets back up and running.
Remember my V635 i sent it in for repair, i think they r repairing it, well thats what the guy said in the Carphonewarehouse

i sent it to CARPHONEWAREHOUSE (where i got it from) and they sent it to 1 of there repair centres somewhere, just gotta wait another week or so and ive got my V635 back cant wait, feels well wierd without my beloved phone!

im gonna have to get the backup from some1 else now cos some arsehole took the piss!

Well, a fair warning about Moto service centers....they are notorious for damaging phones even more than they already are.

so be prepared to have an even worse phone when they send it back to you.

the repair centre is 1 that is by Carphonewarehouse, ive sent 1 there b4, if they cant fix it, they replace it with a refurbished 1
