More than likely not, since it would be bordering on illegal. (You know the whole big brother issue!)

They would !! I lost my sanyo 5150 before and called SPRINT to trace it for me. The phone has GPS feature but, they said they will only trace it if the police asks them to. The only possilbe ones r : If u/ somephone with the phone r kidnapped then they will trace it !! Provided that the phone is still on !! if not no use !! I dont know wot the point of GPS Enabled phones if they can only trace if the phone in "ON" I thought they would be some kinda chip which is always on in the phone then the sprint would be able to trace it.
I talked to two CSR representatives and both told me the samething that the phone only be traced if the person with it is kidnapped or if the Police ask them to trace it !!

Tracing can actually be done (much of the time) with non-GPS phones too, it's just a bit harder and takes a little more effort on the part of the folks who are actually doing the tracing.
But yes, they won't do it unless someone is in danger. It actually kind of makes sense; if they did, Sprint'd probably have people calling them all the time the morning after a drunken escapade, asking them to find their phone for them...
Of course, I don't mean to say anything about you, JungleJuiz.

when i am drunk
i alwasy seem to keep good track of my phone, the problem is when i am sober i alwasy leave it places. But i alwasy have recovered it,
They should come up with somthing that you can type in your phone number on there website somewhere, and a map will come up where your phone is at, of course you should only be able to track your own phone, not others.

I'd pay for that. How about a pay-per-use model? $10 every time you use the tracking feature, and like you said you can only track your own phone. Granted, it'll only tell you what building (or area) it's in, but that'd be worth it. I would certainly pay for that (but only when I needed to).
Just so long as I was sure nobody else was gonna track me...
