Updating firmware on sony ericsson t616 phone

Is it dangerous to update firmware and debrand a sony ericsson t616 phone? Has anyone done this and it was easy ? I have basic computer skills and don't have much knowledge about doing this? There is this website called [U][U]www.unlockmyphones.co.uk that says its safe and lets you update the firmware and debrand your phone as many times as you want. Should I try this? I have a rs-t28 cable will that work to do this?

I would get the terminator dongle and do it that route. It's a little more straightforward and you have it there on your own computer. I did mine myself (updated, unlocked and de-branded) all in about 30 minutes. Really simple process.
