I just heard from a friend that they are selling the P800 in Hyderabad, India for about 37,000 Indian Rupees (Approx 773 USD).
He said that it dropped from 45,000 INR (approx 940 USD) in about a weeks time. Hoping this means that the p800s prices r going to drop soon everywhere

P800 has been officially released in India. The cost of the P800 varies according to the place you buy it from. I had brought P800 from Third Eye in Banjara hills, Hyderabad for Rs. 39,000 approx. This is with bill and warrenty from an authorised SE dealer. The cost of the phone in Tamil Nadu is the highest at around Rs.45000.

Yeah I think that was the store my friend was talking about as he send which is very close to my house( I live in Banjarahills Rd #3) and that the guy is a SE authorised dealer. Nice to see that someone else from Hyderabad is using these forums

Thats good to hear. Will they give u gprs with prepaid? Have u heard anything about MMS?

Posted by: Avinash

MMS will be part of the GPRS package. As far as I know, Hutch will be offering GPRS for both pre paid and post paid connections. I dont know about others. BTW, MMS is likely to cost Rs.15 each. In Hyderabad, only Idea, Airtel and Hutch will be offering GPRS.

THose are the only 3 GSM providers in hyd rite. Unless BSNL launched gsm service

Cellone (BSNL) has already launched cellular services in Hyderabad. However, it does not have full coverage of Hyderabad yet. As per m knowledge, they will have ful coverage of Hyderabad by around mid Feb.
