I have just got both these dvices and have the same problem on each

Despite selecting First Name Last Name for my contacts, within the SMS section, the name always appears last first - i have searched the whole phone, the manual and the web and cannot find out how to fix this.

Any ideas?

I have an E61 but don't have the same issue. I think you need to fix the names list in i.e outlook. Make sure that the first and last names are in correct field. Otherwise, the phone will pick and choose by its self.

i have the problem on my n91, but if u go to settings in contacts u can change so first name then last or vice versa, but i still wasnt happy, give it a try

I had the same problem... When I flashed the firmware it fixed the issue... I can list either first/last or last/first now..

by choosing it on the phone?

Yes... on the phone... but only after the firmware flash..
