v635 freezes..

every time i attempt to use the camera on my v635, which i just received today, the phone freezes up entirely. i've already flashed to 6FR and then to the 90FR MP by leukoplast. the phone never even reaches the camera. i just see a black screen with a little bar across the bottom. in order to start using the phone, i have to remove the battery and reboot it. any suggestions?
p.s. the camera wasn't working before i flashed to 6FR or 90FR. i hoped that by flashing i would be able to get it to work
EDIT: i also just discovered that the video camera does not work either.
