L7 restarting issue and another quick question

so yesterday i was doing some seem editing on my unlocked, unbanded L7 before work and everything seemed to have worked fine .... until i got to work and attempted to reply to a text message i recieved. i then realized that when i try to reply to a recieved text, or try to create a new text/MMS/voice message, the phone hangs for a second then resets itself. everything else seems to be functioning normally. when i got home, i tried restoring numerous back-ups i've made over the past few days of seem editing, but to no luck. had anyone had or heard of this problem or know how to fix it?

also, after looking at cnn.cn i was wondering since it seems you can get most, if not all, of the needed parts there, would it be possible to order the parts, assemble them and flash and flex it and it would be a functioning phone? or is there more to it that i'm not understanding right off-hand?

ouch....sounds like you have a full week-end lined up.

Keep up the faith., it'll work in the end. Just a matter of how frustrating it'll be to trouble shoot things.

so i just finished flashing and flexing my phone with a couple different sets i found at various forums and everything seems to be ok thus far (just finished so i haven't had a chance to look over everything, but i've got texting back). just wondering: if the software version is the same, does it matter what flex is used? and if i have S/W R4513 and i flashed/flexed it with say R4517, do i understand right that it'd pretty much brick my phone?

lol i meant to become sort of a regular, but then i got busy with my job at the time then moved from IL to FL got even more busy with school and the i kinda forgot about the forum til i set up a friend on my plan and thought i could unlock her current phone to work with Cingular. i started doing some searching then remembered this forum and that i AM, in fact, a member. but i'm getting better. i check it daily now (it's the first thing i do when i get home from work) just to see what's goin on. and even when i am around, my lack of posts mainly stems from my lack of knowledge. must of y'all are far smarter than me when it comes to this, so this is where i came to get smarter on it all. but i'll change. i swear. i'm not just using you.

..... sounds oddly like every relationship i've ever been in .....
