Price has been lowered at Expansys to $666.66 from $722.22.
It might even go lower once they have it in stock in the U.S.

Yesterday when I looked and the price was $722.22, the ship/stock date was only 14 days, not 30.

My experience with epansys is that a 2 day wait equates to 2 months. Don't get excited if you want one now at that price, who knows when epansys will actually get them?

The price means nothing if you have to wait a month to get the Phone, they can keep that s**t. Just keep speaking to people until you can get the right connect that will get it in your hand in 2 days...like me.

I rather wait and save $200 than to buy it now from someplace else. $200 may not seem a lot for other people but it is to me.

In my neck of the woods you can get an open line, official released version, 1 year warranty Sony Ericsson P800 for the princely (versus a kingly sum

) sum of...

US$679.20!!!

With the deteriorating exchange rate, the price will probably get better and with good negotiation skills I can probably bring it down to US$650!

I mean I go to this mall right...and right smack in the middle of the floor a P800 demo booth. I fought, clawed and hammered my way to the front just to touch preeeeciousssssssssss...

The dork doing the demo had these set of questions to 'determine' if I am compatible with the phone ("Are you a PDA person or a phone person sir?" to which my reply was "Give me the phone dork or I will take your soul with me back to hell where I will flay your living flesh with dull witted maggots")...Hehe no more question and I get to play with it for the next 30 minutes or so.

Satisfied with my initiallust a permalust set in and I start looking at other stores (in another mall) for the P800. Lo and behold the three stores I go to have the phones in stock and one would be about US$10 lower than the next!

Yes indeed it was just an incredible weekend. So here I am thinking - should I buy it now wait just a teensy bit till it reaches the magic price point (which I actually dont know, I guess its when I go from permalust to something else).

dude i heard that the p800 will be going on sale on T-mobile for 550.00 with plan. i dunno if its true but if you want to buy a p800 i would tell you to wait.
because i think expansys promises prices but they never have the phone!!!!

have to have things now... i actually waited a month since the news of the code warrior version too.... but couldn't wait any longer... by the time the p800 comes out in US, the price will drop everywhere anyway...
anyway just like the PS2 and XBOX.... when they first came out they cost a certain amount... $300.... then as time goes on... price goes down... $200.... of course by then everyone has one (T68i comes to mind)....

plus being put on contract would kill the deal for me since i'm a cingular user with no contract and have an old (but good) plan...

did i mention i bought like 7 P800s and resold them so the one i keep is actually only $400... yay!

just bought mine last friday so I am still playing with it...
