BitPim slow transfer speed to E815

It just took 29 minutes to transfer a 13.3 MB MP3 file to the transflash card in my E815 phone using BitPim 0.8.13. A transfer speed of 7.64 KB/sec. Talk about slowwww! But is it the norm? Obviously I need a card reader if I'm going to do a lot of MP3 file transfers. Or perhaps I'm doing something wrong? Is there something I need to do to actually get somewhere close to USB transfer speeds?

Yeah it's that slow normally. It's better to get a card reader if you're going to use the TF card.
