I am using mine to type this.....all you need to connect is the data cable and software that came with your phone...if you don't have this you can buy it(mini usb cable and a copy of MPTor motorola phone tools) you will have to arrange service through your providermost offer a unlimited plan) and presto you are online where ever you have signal.... I like my high speed at home but I work offshore so I am away for extended periods of time so you cannot beat the use of the service while you're gone...

Yes I use MPT and although it is buggy it works....It sometimes stops letting me connect so when it does I just make a new user and it reinstalls the modem for me and off we go again...
