I got a new razr v3 (black) yesterday from cingular (an actual store, not a kiosk in the mall). I asked about uploading / downloading via usb in the store and the salesperson told me just to go to motorola's site and download the software, he didn't tell me it was $30

So I have a copy of mpt 3.23 which supposidly works w/ the v3, I've done the live update and it still won't work. it never seems to find the USB connection and there is no other clear step-by-step instructions on how to get this to work.

All I want to do is put some ringtones on my phone from my computer, some wallpapers and maybe backup my contact list now and again.

Please tell me (in lamens terms) how this can be done. I'm not an idiot, I've had cell phones for the last 13+ years but this is the biggest problem I've ever had w/ customizing a phone.

ps - yes i did search.
