Hey everyone,

I've been with Cingular since November of 2005 and have been loving it. The only thing is now recently I have noticed a buzzing in my earpiece of my RAZR. I will call someone and when it connects and starts ringing a buzzing noise with start in my ear and while its not really loud people I have talked to say tat they can hear it and consequently can't hear me sometimes over it. This has been happening pretty consistently lately and its driving me nuts!!

Should I go to the Cingular store or is there anything I can do myself. Thanks for the help

Call customer care. 611 from your phone. They will get you in touch with the warranty service. You will probably be able to swap out your phone for a free replacement since it is under warranty still.

i have the same problem. Its always either buzzing, or a whistling that sounds likr a tea kettle going off.

I believe it's normal with most of the RAZR's. I read a thread a couple months back about people having the same issue and replacing the phone didn't work. Mine does the same thing, get use to it after awhile and when the backlight shuts off the noise goes away.

If you're hearing a buzzing while the keypad backlight is on, it's from the electroluminescent pad that's lighting up the keypad. It's not a manufacturing defect.
