V220 blinking home screen after dropping calls

The last couple weeks my V220 has been dropping calls (with full signal), then the screen turns black, goes to the home screen, goes black again, back to the home screen, etc. It'll do this 3-10 times usually. Last night it seemed to get even worse, because during about 1 hour of conversation, I probably got dropped about 8 times. I just tried updating the flash/flex with a monster pack today, and it didn't help at all. I've seen someone else asking about this on another forum, but there was no answer, so it doesn't seem too uncommon. Is there anything I can do to fix this, or will I need to get a new phone?

ok, I visited cingular yesterday, and they basically ignored me. They told me they've heard of this before, but they couldn't do anything for me because it was out of warranty and I don't have phone insurance. Not that I actually use it, but my camera doesn't work either. When I press the camera button, it will go to a black screen with the soft key menu on the bottom for about 3 seconds, and then return to the home screen. Maybe some connectors are loose? I don't know how to open the phone without breaking it though.

Ok, I just figured it out. The blinking home screen is the result of closing the phone. The reason the phone thinks it is closing (even though it's still open) is because the little button next to the top left hinge that senses whether the phone is open or closed is now extremely sensitive. So the problem is caused by accidentally brushing the button. Now all I need to do is figure out how to fix this button.
