BIG 6 and SK3

Hey, If memory recalls, isn't one of the big six initiatives include launching 2 new PDA type phones by the end of the year. It's not an actually initiative, but like part of one of the initiatives...So my guess is SK3 will be out by Christmas time this year, just in time for the holiday season.

actually i've been looking for a sidekick 2 for my bf recently and we went to several stores and the reps said they're phasing out the sidekick 2's because the 3's are coming very very soon but "they don't know when" although all of them said they thought it was going to be at the end of june or possibly july.... so there ya go (and i'm sure they wouldn't be NOT selling them at almost every store or associated store if the new ones weren't coming really soon)

I strongly doubt it would come out in June or July. For one, Marketing hasn't even started its campaign yet as they usually do. As reps, we know nothing until its announced in our systems, it still hasn't been annoucned, so I strongly doubt the June or July release.

I think it will come out in late June or early July, since the FCC is set to release its specs and user manual on June 6th. They can't release info yet to customers since the FCC has been forced to hush on its specs and info thanks to Sharp's 45 day confidentiality request, which expires on June 6th.

this is the exact reason why I rushed to sell my sk2. I was planning on buying the moto 7000i for the data capabilities but I can't find a plan thats comparable to fidos. So for now I am gonna pray that the sk3 comes to canada

Yeah, itz true, Sharp and Danger are no longer manufacturing the SK2, which should mean something new is coming out. My guess is also for June-July......hers an interesting question....I've been hearing alot about a Sidekick for the Metro-PCS service...now I know the phone is GSM and Metro is CDMA, i get it....but it could happen , so who knows. ANy info woul help

Metro PCS doesn't even have data service...I'd strongly doubt they'd do a sidkick. Verizon and Sprint would get the SK before Metro would.

i doubt any other carrier will get the sk3......

Honestly, I'd rather have it that way, other carriers should strive to find a device that can redefine them. Some carriers have, such as Nextel with the radio, although they will be phasing that out too. T-Mobile is known for the Sidekick.

Nextel will never phase out the radio

Do you think that confidentiality agreement can be extended at the request of either Danger or Sharp?
