V3:How/where do I change sound played when voicemail received?

Hi,

I have a Cingulat GSM V3. I for some reason can not find the place I need to be to change the sound the phone plays when a voicemail is recieved.

I have had no problems changing the ringtones or attacing a specific tone to a phone number...

Anyone know how to do this?

If you go to ringers and then select the "loudness" of the ringer that you want, you'll see something that says ringer detail. Select that and scroll down to Voice Mail (or whatever you want to change the ringer on). Select the ring tone that you want and that should work.

THe one caveat is that you need to go into all the possible ring volumes and styles and make the same change.

if your carrier sends an SMS message to alert you of a voicemail, then it wont work, you need to change the sound profile when ever you receive an SMS to sound for your voicemail, ie: fido.

I use the p2ktools, select ringstyles, then read your phone and do the selecting in the proper place of what you want. check it out, or on your phone, menu/settings/ringstyles/loud detail/ take a look you can assign what you want
