Branded or No Branded SLVR?

Alright so heres my story. through the past three phones all of mine have been Nokia. My current is 6230 and im really startin to lean toward the SLVR. IF I did choose the SLVR I would have to buy it without renewing my contract. Should I suck it up and pay the full price wich is $300? or should I get an unlocked one for $200 from a website? (not sure if im allowed to say the name of it but seems trustworthy.

people on hofo are selling it for $200 to. i dont think the cingular price iw worth it. plus you dont get a limit on the memory card on most slvrs taht are unbranded. gl

After having a few unlocked/unbranded phones i will never go back to a cingular branded phone. I never used media mall since why would you pay for a ringtone you can easily make, i'm always near a computer thanks to work and school so paying my bill is easiest that way, or i could even pay through text message if i felt like it. Therefore to have the splat covered all over my phone just seems silly to me.

Bottom line if you can get the phone you want cheap unlocked/unbranded then by all means do it that way. If you like to have things like the manufacturer intended as i do then you will have no regrets

Awsome, thanks guys. i went with it and your right, no regrets. Just takes some getting used to after having the past three phones all nokias. I think i got it all down except it came with a SanDisc transflash, wut is that for? its alost the same thing i put in my camera.

Another thing is since my is unlocked i can choose what software i put on it, are any better than others?
