I need help!! Software for my data cable

Im seeking help out of pure desperation here! If someone could help me out, id GREATLY appreciate it.
I bought a data cable for my RAZR a couple weeks ago online, and now for the past week and a half ive been searching the internet DRY looking for software to transfer files btw my phone and the computer. (My cable didnt come with one 
but I have the driver software) I'm literally crying now, because it is so frustrating that i cant find anything. Basically i am looking for free software that creates and transfers mp3's via data cable. Not through WAP, not through textmessaging...just the data cable.
If ANYONE can give me a link to a site or software, id appreciate it greatly!!
