I have spent several weeks working with this web site -Howard Forums. For the most part it has been very helpful. My Thanks go out to many of you who have shared your knowledge.
I am new to the whole Forum posting process. I have a question that I have not been able to find information about in my search. I hope I am posting this in the right place and I am using this Forum properly.
I have had my MPx220 for about a month now. What I am trying to accomplish is the ability to disable my Camera Button on the side. I have found that I am constantly activating the camera button and taking pictures when my phone is in my pocket.
Based on the searches I have done, I realize this must be accomplished by editing the Registry. I have downloaded both Smartione and PHM Registry Editor.
I followed instructions on how to define some special keys on the MPx220. Specifically The Camera Button – HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuildIN\KeyBD\CameraCom mandLine
“CameraCommandLine”=\Windows\camera.exe
I tried to remove the Command all together and that did not work.
Then I tried to change the Command Line so it would do something else like go to the Home Screen. So I changed the “CameraCommandLine” to \Windows\gotomww.exe
That did not work. I received the message “Error – Unable to perform this operation”.
Can someone please help me out at this point?
Thanks!
