Telus V3c won't recognise

I installed my V3c phone via usb but it will only charge the battery. No program (pst, mpt, bitpin, p2k) can find the phone or connect to it. I tried uninstalling and installing it over and over but no luck. could it be a telus lock?

If I can free my phone my mind will follow

I connected mine directly to a USB connector on the computer and not through a hub and it finally recognized mine. Still however cannot get it to transfer files via P2K. Puzzled on that part
