well i have had the v710 for over a year now and its been flawless.. now my buddy and I start a computer repair business.. we found a retail location in this little shopping center.. wouldnt you know it .. BOTH our v710's only get 1-2 bars at best at that location and the calls are choppy. doesnt make sense.. it works perfectly less then 1/2 mile up the road.. we live in the western north carolina mountains so that may have something to do with it.. but it doesnt make sense both our phones work fine anywhere in our area except here.. wtf.. the shopping center is off a major hwy (major in our area). Has anyone had any success with external antennas or another antenna other then the factory one?

btw.. my v710 is on Alltel network.. (blah contract) so I am roaming on Verizon.
my friends v710 is on Verizon.. is there any contact number we could call to get Verizon to check that area? any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated

Well my uncle lives in silva and has verizon and gets good signal i have a v710 and went to ashville recently i only got one bar or two indoors in some places but when i went outside i had four bars but i know that area is mainly uscc and cingular and sprint so. As far as antenna goes try a v265 one i had one on my phone for a while til i got a new antenna since the one i got first was broken and i noticed i had little bit better signal with it on there and its sold as a replacement antenna too for this phone.
