ive heard there is a problem with the treo hooking up with certain bluetooth devices. i bought a motorola bluetooth for my tro and ive heard theres a patch and/or a way to get around it. does any one have any help for me?

lol, there's a lot of stuff going on with the Treo... First, need more info. on your phone... CDMA/GSM? Locked/Unlocked? Firmware version? Software version? Hardware version? Try and give as much info as possible...
As far as patches go, are you having problems with the headset? have you paired it with the Treo? How's the volume if it is paired? the more info. you give the easier it is to help...

ive purchased the motorola bluetooth h500 and my treo is unlocked. my treo has found the device and will connect a phone call but for only a very brief second before the call goes back to my troe and connot be heard through my bluetooth. the call stays connected. any other info?

hmmm, go to the Phone Info when you're in the Dialer and give the info from there... Just FW/SW/HW info, do not give IMEI or SN info...

I too am interested to find out more patches on the BT. I just unlocked and updated my cingular 650 to the 1.20ENA software and it seems more stable but the bluetooth has not gotten any better. Still can hardly hear on it and its very poor range and reception. Mine is hardware B though.

If you have 1.51fw & 1.17CNG sw, you shouldn't need that update... Your next step is kind of up in the air... It all depends on how much time you want to spend working on your phone... For me the best route (but longest route), was first getting my unlock code from Cingular, then downgrading my firmware to the 1.23ENA, then upgrading my fw in 2 steps... I can't remember the exact fw #'s but there's a thread here started by aexidic, with help from Dare_Hawk, that has the files to use and intructions. You might have to download the Grack RomTool to change the Tokens as well... Really depends on whether or not you want to spend the time... Let me know and I'll try to help you through if you do...

Go to the link at Howard Forums first and get the files from Dare_Hawk, then go to the links at TreoCentral and get the RomTool & JamesGangut's How-To Instructions. Install the RomTool and the Windows .Net update to get that working. Then install the downgrade from Dare_Hawk. From there you might need to use the RomTool to change the Token so it says ENA instead of CNG. After that, do the 2 additional upgrades from Dare_Hawk (do't forget to do backups throughout this process). After the 2 updates you should have firmware 1.71 and software 1.20ENA. At this point I'd try out the phone and see how it does for you. If it's still not working right, use the RomTool to download your ROM to a Directory on your desktop and add/delete the files from there. MAKE SURE YOU READ JAMES' INSTRUCTIONS AND MMASTRAC's LIST OF FILES THAT CAN/CAN'T BE DELETED. If you delete wrong files you can brick your phone... Also, please note that this is just a suggestion, I'm not liable if you have a problem... But also know, many many people have done this with no problems, I just don't want you to come after me if there is a problem...lol
I've got the new fw/sw and have deleted Versamail, RealPlayer, Tips/Tutorials & all languages except for English. I've also added Agendus 10.04, ZLauncher, Filez & Uninstall Manager and am loving it (knock on wood...). Let me know if you have any problems.

if you the term "brick" means i cant hear out of it even with bluetooth off after all my tring the answer is my phone is bricked

btw - after you get everything fixed, forget the H500, it'll have so much static in it, you will not want to use it anyway.

hey treoho, I actually mean Bricked to where the Treo doesn't work at all... Ends up being an expensive paperweight... Now, if you can't hear anything at all, I guess it's almost the same thing... so what happened? did something happen after you tried to update? hit up the people at TreoCentral if you're having problems, they're very helpful and have much more knowledge than I do... I hope everything works out ok for you... let me know if there's anything I can do tohelp...
