I had this phone for about a month now, and while messing around with it when I first got it I was able to set a custom picture as the background and then either make the picture transparent, or the Today tabs transparent. This caused the background to have a more brighter and vidid look.

Any way after running an unlocking program I dowload my Today screens background was restored to the default and I cant figure out how to change the transparency, or brightness of my background. I was wondering if anyone could help me.

Go to Today in Settings, browse to that picture again and it will ask you.

You also have the option to download Theme generator for PPC from the microsoft site and you can create any theme you want using pictures from your choosing. Works great allows you to crop pictures as well as adjust transparancy, along with many other things.

I tried browsing and applying it again it doest as me to edit the transparency. So I would have to download some kind of program now, because it appears unlocking the phone messed something up?

you have to actually go to the picture in pictures and videos. Open the picture u want to use and click menu and set to background picture. It should ask you then what tranparency setting u would like to use (higher is more transparent). As for screen brightness go to start > settings > system tab > power > click adjust backlight (at bottom. Its a link) and adjust the bar as needed. Hope this helps.
