I have a Telus 8900 ...camera phone.... dropped it the other night .... everything was working just fine .... today i opened the flip too recieve a call the LCD screen just shut off ... it's blank ... phone still works fine i can recieve and send calls.... no cracks in the screen ... it is a little loose on the flip hinges, could it be a flex cable problem, or do i need too replace the whole LCD ... opened it up internally... everything looks fine ...just a incovenience i cant retrieve my phone book and all .... would it be a costly fix?.... has anyone had this problem before .... would like too know if its something simple... otherwise i'm gonna have too probably look for a donor phone.

Yea, I had that problem a year back. I went to my service provider and they said it was a defect in the phone, which didn't make any sense because the replacement phone I got was the exact same model and everything. The defect's still there, too. The hinge started getting loose after about 5 months, and the main LCD screen started to fizz out again. My advice....get a new phone, and let your provider transfer the numbers for you. I doubt there's anything else you can do, but then again, I'm one to give up easily.
