e680i internet and light problem plz help

i have cingular and i try to connect to the internet and it keeps saying network error so wtf i need help and my motorola symbol lights up only when my charger is plugged in and how come it doesnt light up when someone calls also my directional pad only lights up when i turn my phone on please help with any of these problems also the phone is unlocked and brand new
