Now this is all history because the FCC just approved the 700p, so it may launch any moment now on either of the largest CDMA carries in the US.

The Treo 700P is weak! Couldn't they give you a 3 mp camera with a flash? Still no Wi-Fi too!!!!!!!!!! Processor is weak. Why couldn't they give us a 450 Mhz processor? I guess I will be keeping my Treo 650. I upgraded from my Treo 600 to the 650 immediately. IMHO, there is not enough of an improvement between the Treo 650 and 700p. Also, why couldn't they put hotmail access and an MSN messenger program on the phone?

I agree that it should have had more serious upgrades. Seems like just an attempt by palm to get people all excited so they'll rush out & buy a new phone. For the exhuberant price, I would expect more than a new camera(which I could care less about since I like my 650's pics just fine & I have a 5mp cam at home), EVDO(which DUN will be blocked on unless you PAY for it), and a bit more memory(which I could also care less about since I have a 2 gig card). I'm willing to bet that the 700's camera will fit on the 650, and I expect to see quite a few camera mods(I plan to try it if I can get my hands on a 700 camera).

I will not be buying a 700, at least not until the price drops significantly(I'm talking at least $300 cheaper) and any OS/hardware problems are fixed.
