850mhz

My ROKR E1 doesnt work with the cell towers in my town. 1900 and 900/1800 is what my ROKR E1 has right now. I think I need 850mhz. So what do I need to do, and what do i need to change this. I have no idea how...i just need step by steps

I have a folder named Motorola Programs and have folders in it like p2kman, p2ktools, drivers, My new & old seems, and so on.

Not sure on that one. If I remember correctly form X's site they do not?

You really dont need back up of the firmware but the files you are editing you should make a backup incase you screw something up

ok i downloaded all the software that it told me to here:http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...bans+seem+edits

This is where iam "2. When it asks if you want Windows to find the software automatically or to specify a folder, click on the ‘Specify a location’ button and browse to the folder you unzipped the Motorola driver pack to."

When i downloaded the software, I put it in a folder called ROKR E1. And then I used Winrar to unzip them or something. Now i just have a bunch of icons and 3 folders that are called "Docs, drv, and src. So where do i go from here?

I cant get it when it says browse to move it to the folder i made called Motorola Programs, it wont let me click ok. But I can make it go into the P2K folder and then into the doc folder or one of those 2 folders. Im delelted everything, now im gonna start back over. I dont think iam unzipping the files into the right places or w/e. please help thanks

Go to C:\Program files and create a new folder under that folder; name it "Motorola"; You will have C:\Program files\Motorola. Put all your P2k file folders in there; dump all your drivers in there. When you execute the applications they should find the drivers, if not and the Windows popup opens, direct it to find the drivers in the Motorola folder.
