Hi Guys,

I managed to get my hands on a pre release version of the m600 and I am in serious need of some help..Ok I know its UIQ3 and so things are not what they seem...but at current I really need to get this push working.

I read that it had MS activesync but all I can see Remote Sync...I entered all details that I have for my push account but it seems to hit an error and not be able to download anything.

Am I mixing up Remote Sync with what is too come ie MS activesync? and if this fails is there a RIM support out for UIQ3?

Manyt thanks

Probably you have to install the software. either it is on the Phone or you have to download it or it is on your CD.

Yeah just found out that it didnt come with the active sync software or bb connect so I am waiting for a friend to get hold of the cd..if anyone has the apps for this it will be much appreciated.

Thanks

You can download that sync software on the sony ericsson site. Also, try demo'ing alwaysonmail from Seven. Works with pop3 and imap too. I;m demo'ing it now and so far so good. needs improvement but the push side is good. try it out. www.alwaysonmail.com

here is the link to the DataViz RoadSync SIS client software. I have been using it for several days now but had to upgrade my firmware and uninstall/install the client software several times. I'm on TMO USA so the best I get is GPRS, no 3G. One tip I can suggest is sometimes when the GPRS connection is lost, I go to my web browswer and then hit the back button leaving the connection established. At that point the Direct Push "heartbeat" is re-established.

I also have to hard reset sometimes due to bad Symbian request errors and have reported this to SE and DataViz. Currently I am working with a DataViz sales rep. and feel the more people that report the issues, the sooner the bugs will be fixed.

Good luck!
