Decent at best. Features wise, considerably better than the predecessor Audiovoxs'.

You might want to do a *search*, specifically, in the *TELUS* forum.

Styling and battery life of 8300 seem OK to me, connection-vise it's not the greatest, but that depends on a network as much as a phone itself.
But, you can not do a search of your phonebook entries!
If you wanted to search for a name beginning with letter "a" and entered letter "a" nto search field, the phone returns all entries with "a"- in no order... not beginning with "A"! Everything that has "a" anywhere in the name... I can't understand the logic of it...
And the slowness of menus is beginning to get on my nerves...

Not a good phone. I traded-up (or down actually from the Kyocera 3035 (because IT kept shutting down during phone calls)
I returned the 8300 after 2 days. You and the caller sound like you're in a tin can (even with full signal) The phonebook is a joke.
I got the LG 4400 and have never looked back. I just had to give up the speakerphone function.

As of today, my VZ store does not have the Audiovox 9500 which is a flip with speakerphone. I'd try that if they had it.
