Audiovox 9950 faceplate on 9990

will putting the 9950 faceplate on a 9900 work. the 9900 faceplate only looks like it is for the inner bezel, while the 9950 faceplate is the whole front.
basically my faceplate is all scratched up and i was wondering what are some options to replace the faceplate because i dont see a stock one anywhere...
