Hello! I have an 8125 and would like to active sync to my computer thru a kensington bluetooth adapter. i would ultimately want to transfer pictures, music, contacts, calender and upload avantgo. can this be done?

It can but its slower.

Just pair your PPC to your PC and on your PC set your com port...then in AS set the com port you want to use.

To synch just open AS on the PPC then menu and connect via bluetooth

Thanks for the info! I've paired the devices, set the comm ports to match and the ppc is recognized by the pc. when I try to connect via bluetooth, I get an error- "cannot find an existing BT partnership with a PC that supports active sync. Would you like to set up a parternship now?" When I find my pc and set the serial service it appears to work. I try to connect again via BT and I get the same error message. I'm sure its something simple I'm missing.

Initiate the pairing from the device, not the computer. This will allow it to discover the activesync bt profile on the computer.

You all are awsome for you responses. Getting frustrated! The only pairing from the ppc, I believe, I can do is from the activesync program. The device is on, its discoverable, the pc is discovered for the partnership, I dont have any incoming and outgoing ports set and I continue to get the original error message. Also i notice the ppc only gives comm6 & 7 for the available ports. Upon reinstalling all of the software it appears that the BT comm port in the device manager is 3. These need to match...correct? And if so, can I match comm 6 to connect. Thanks again for the info!
