hello all... ok .. so i bought an unbranded, unlocked treo 600 from palm a long while back, and i am using it on t-mobile. as soon as i got the phone, i upgraded the software to get all the tmobile branding, but as soon as i did that, it no longer displayed "T-Mobile" as the network i was using, but always shows "Network Search...".

i am using the Treo fine, i get internet, text, can make calls, etc all with no problem at all, but because the network is not showing, when i try to use #646# to get my used minutes, it gives me the "sending request.." screen, but then says "operation failed"... i know that it has to do with the network problem, because it worked fine when i first got the phone, and also once after a hard reset before i restored all my programs, etc...

any ideas???

not sure if this will help but I had a similar problem with my treo 600. I bought mine off of ebay and it worked fine at first but soon after I was receiving the same message of "network search". Eventually it the search would fail and I wouldn't get service. I called my provider & palm to no avail. After fiddling around with the phone myself, I discovered that I must have changed the settings somehow. If you go to options/select band--make sure this is set correctly. Again, I am not sure this will help you, but it solved my problem.
