No. MIDI stands for Musical Instrument Digital Interface.

"MIDI is a standardized protocol for communication between electronic music devices as well as between those devices and computers."

"A format for computerized music. The format is used widely over the Internet, because it usually has a very small file size. It achieves this by sending, not recording of the music, but instructions for reproducing the music on whatever macine runs the MIDI file."

Basically, it's a small data file that helps generate music. Electronically generated music. So, on most phones, it sounds... well... electronic-y. MIDI files are usually designed for synthesizers, keyboards and other musical instruments.

(A well-done MIDI file can be a really good ringer though! )

Guess you missed the very first word of my message.

In other words...

No. No lyrics.

(Although technically a MIDI file can contain TEXT-based lyrics for karaoke-type functions.)
