Image editing (Mac)

Is anybody doing image editing on a Mac? I have a number of photos and images I'd like to turn into Wallpapers on my VX9800, but the programs I've tried (GraphicConverter and GIMP) are complex and unwieldy to this novice image editor.

I thought there was a program out there (like Apple's iPhoto) that you could simply set the constraints on the selection rectangle to a pixel size (320X198, 320X230) and then drag across an image to select the exact size. But I can't seem to find it.

Any ideas? Who's using what to create your wallpapers?

There's two programs I use .... Photoshop for heavy duty editing, and a smaller free program called Seashore. its very simple, basic editor, great for just resizing pics.

I downloaded Seashore and gave it a try. It's quite a program. Much more than I thought it would be.

I had some difficulty with it at first. But then I found I could create a new image of the proper dimensions, then paste in from an original image the portion I wanted. Save the new image as a JPEG, and voila!

Neat!

Thanks for the tip.

And how did I ever miss the fact that Bitpim has an image re-sizer? I found that works pretty well, too.

I'm happy now.
