S710 - freezing

I've had the phone for about a year now, just recently i've encountered the problem of a frozen screen and phone. It will happen whenever I talk on the phone for longer than 20 minutes or so. I have to turn off the phone and wait a bit until it turns back on. What's the problem and how do I fix it? Is it just overheated?

Mine is just over a year old and doing the same thing...except I can't even use it anymore...it just freezes when it starts up. Cingular won't do anything because its past its year warranty. Did you ever figure out how to correct this?

Have you guys tried to master reset your phone?

Are instructions for that in the manual? I took out the battery and replaced and that didnt help.

Its frozen...i cant get to the menu item to perform the reset unless there is another way?

do a reflash and it should get rid of this (for a while at least), I reflash my phones every 3-4 weeks to ensure they dont screw up big time

Thanks for the reply...how can i reflash this phone? ...i already bought a new one, but would like to get this one to work for my wife...

use sony ericsson update service (SEUS), off their website, you need the original usb cable, follow the instructions after you download the program and it should flash, make sure your battery is at 100% before you flash
