What is butchered on the v3c on Verizon?

I've been browsing around on the net trying to figure out what functionality is gone in the Verizon version. Can someone tell me if the following features work on this phone?

Assuming I get phone tools:
1) Synch the calendar, tasks and address book from Outlook? Is there truly an issue with recurring events?
2) Transfer files like mp3s, pics from the camera and other files through the usb cable back and forth?
3) Access pop and/or imap mail on the road? Is a data plan required or do they have pay per kb still?
4) Can the net be browsed? I have a Samsung i600 smartphone (like an mpx) at the moment that has IE and huge amounts of functionality so I'm wondering what gets lost on these new phones.

The Motorola site brags about all sorts of features but caveats that Verizon versions lose some sort of multimedia functionality. PS I hate Vcast and mobile web. I'm using the phone for business. vnavigator sounds cool though.

Thanks for any tips.
Lars

VZW cripples Bluetooth (only used for wireless headset) and uses their own user interface. Now when you buy a phone from VZW, most all of them have the same menu look and feel. There is no change from brand to brand.

This may be better suited for the Verizon Wireless Motorola forum like the previous posted said. They will give you way more info than I just did.

This can probably be closed. I searched and see he posted in the VZW forum also. He must have realized his mistake.

Yep sorry guys, I thought I sucessfully erased this thread. I was browsing several forums simultaneously and used the wrong one to post.

But while I'm here, how is the is the new GSM service at Cingular. We left them (ATT) a few years ago when everything fell apart in their conversion. I'm in the Los Angeles area. I like the idea of instantly having a world quad band phone. Verizon coverage is pretty flawless here in LA but the rest of their services are going down the tubes IMO.

Again, sorry for the cross posting.

the "new" GSM service is awesome. Cingular is an entirely different company than AT&T was back then. Yeah they bought them, but they were pretty well-builtout before then. There are plenty of reasons people like Cingular better than Verizon or other carriers.

1. GSM - as you said before, world phones are nice
2. Cingular doesn't cripple Bluetooth. You can tether, transfer files, sync, headsets, you name it.
3. Cingular still uses manufacturer UIs. That means a Nokia looks like a Nokia, Moto looks like Moto, etc. etc.
4. You can use unlocked phones on their service. This means you're free to use a phone that doesn't have any branding on it whatsoever, and you don' thav eto buy them straight from Cingular. LOVE THAT.
