Does anyone know what happened to the FireFly (phone for kids 12 and younger)? I am told that they have been recalled and are now being redesigned but nothing more than that. Does anyone know when they are to be released?

They have been recalled for technical problems and they were just generally hard to program the numbers into. I believe that they are coming out with a new model eventually. I know we still carry some of the cases for them for those people who actually got thiers to work.

i think he's talking more that it's not an easy phone to operate. sure, once you learn it you can do it but it's not all that "self explanatory (sp?)". you'd HAVE to read the manual to learn to use it or you're just like WTH? that's why I didn't like it. it was a great idea, just poor design. getting the SIM in it alone was a chore...... blah

Thanks Joker. I've got three of my own. Only the oldest (12) has a phone, the Nokia 6010. I don't see the wirelfly offering much. I can get a better phone cheaper and can still restrict their use.
