Need to replace my aging phone

I'm in the market for an unlocked phone. I'm currently with Cingular Blue, but plan on migrating to Cingular Orange in the near future. I'm also now out of my contract, so I'd like to get a phone that would be usable with a wide variety of carriers, not just Cingular.

My priorities are (most important first):
  1. RF performance
  2. Durability
  3. Price
I've always had Nokia phones in the past, and have been told that they generally have the best RF performance, but I'm open to other alternatives. I also don't understand people's apparent obsession with flip phones, but I'm not entirely opposed to a flip phone. The hinge just seems like one more moving part that can potentially fail, so I'm a little bit wary of that design. I also don't really care about cameras one way or the other. I don't need an MP3 player or anything like that either. I'm not opposed to those features; they're just not really a selling point for me.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Since price is a factor, you may want to check out Nokia 6030. This phone is offered by Cingular, and the carriers always give you a dicount on the equipment if you renew your contract with them. WirelessRush
